Course objectives

1. Knowledge and understanding By the end of the course, students will: be familiar with the main complex grammatical structures of the English language (advanced verb tenses, passive voice, indirect speech, hypothetical clauses); understand complex written and spoken texts on both concrete and abstract topics, including academic and professional texts; have a broad and articulated vocabulary, including sector-specific terms. 2. Ability to apply knowledge and understanding Students will be able to: use English appropriately in real and simulated communication situations; produce clear and well-structured written texts (formal emails, short essays, reports); actively participate in discussions, presentations, and group work in English. 3. Independent judgment The student: is able to critically evaluate texts and speeches in English; chooses linguistic registers appropriate to the communicative context; expresses reasoned personal opinions on current affairs and disciplinary issues. 4. Communication skills The student: communicates fluently and spontaneously with native and non-native speakers; explains complex topics clearly and coherently; interacts effectively in academic and professional contexts, including multicultural ones. 5. Learning skills The student: develops independent language learning strategies; uses digital resources and self-learning tools; is able to continue studying English independently (level C1).
