

BIOGOV is an international postgraduate advanced specialization programme open to EU citizens and funded under the EU LIFE Programme “TraiN2K”. BIOGOV aims to provide advanced knowledge and professional competencies in biodiversity governance, nature conservation, and ecological restoration within a European and global framework aligned with the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the EU Nature Restoration Law. The programme is designed to train 20 highly qualified professionals from across Europe to operate effectively within Natura 2000 sites and other protected areas. The curriculum addresses key topics including protected-area management, biodiversity monitoring and restoration, conservation planning and measures, environmental policy, stakeholder engagement, and environmental education. BIOGOV offers advanced scientific knowledge and practical skills related to ecological processes, sustainable natural resource management, biodiversity monitoring, and the application of modern analytical and environmental assessment techniques. Graduates will be equipped to contribute effectively to the governance, conservation, and restoration of Natura 2000 sites and other ecologically significant protected areas.
